The R.E.A.L. Foundation Trust seeks to raise the aspirations of hard to reach and disengaged children and young people and their families. By creating opportunities to develop skills and capabilities it aims to enable them to participate independently and responsibly in society. Supporting young people into appropriate pathways promotes future economic well-being and healthy lifestyles. It is intended that children and young people will be referred to the R.E.A.L. Foundation Trust by their schools, teachers and parents. Support might be in the form of provision or finance to support appropriate activities.
The objects for which the Charity is established are to act as a resource for young people by providing advice and assistance and organising programmes of physical, educational and other activities as a means of:
- advancing in life and helping young people by developing their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as independent, mature and responsible individuals;
- advancing education;
- relieving unemployment;
- providing recreational and leisure time activity in the interest of social welfare for people who have need by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, poverty or social and economic circumstances with a view to improving the conditions of life of such persons;
- the promotion of healthy lifestyles and the provision of advice on the same
