Rufford Golf and Country Club have donated a fantastic £450 to the R.E.A.L. Foundation Trust (RFT).
The Newark-based golf club raised the money as part of their Senior Captain’s Charity Golf Day on June 11th 2018.
Around 50 golfers helped to raise the funds as part of the monthly ‘Stableford’ (a scoring system that involves scoring points based on the number of strokes taken at each hole, opposed to counting the total number of strokes taken) competition.
All of the money raised will go towards supporting innovative and creative educational solutions for children and young people, between the ages of 5 and 19, who are “lost to learning” and “hard to place.”
Sean Ryan, Chair of R.E.A.L. Foundation Trust said: “On behalf of the R.E.A.L. Foundation Trust I would like to say a huge thank you to Rufford Golf and Country Club and it’s Senior Captain, Francis Waite. The money raised will go directly towards helping children who may struggle in a mainstream education setting to reach their full potential.”
