R.E.A.L. Musical Talent

A learner has had a song he produced in a Music Technology session at R.E.A.L. played on the radio.

Meshach Jackson (known as Mesh), produced the song ‘Chocolate Darling’ with his Music Technology tutors Nathan Simpson and Rob Lyons.  With the support of

Meshach’s tutor Rohan Reid, the song has been recognised by a Nottingham DJ.

Rohan said: “A recent track named ‘Chocolate Darling’ caught my attention, due to Valentine’s day. I played the track to a friend who is a DJ/Producer and he asked for a radio edited version, which Meshach and the music group have produced. It was played on my friend’s ‘Allstarz Mix’ show on 97.5 Kemet FM on Thursday 15th February.

“This is a great step forward for Meshach, and a positive one, as he had his work broadcast to thousands of listeners on this radio show and my friend’s social media streams.”

Meshach is hoping to go to college in September to further develop his music skills.
