Last summer, R.E.A.L. Mechanics at Kings Mill Way carried out £5 Summer Health Checks on staff vehicles in aid of the R.E.A.L. Foundation Trust.
The Summer Health Checks covered a number of potential problem areas including tyres, lighting, brakes, fluid levels and battery condition. The checks were carried out by learners who were registered on R.E.A.L.’s Mechanics course. The car ramp used to carry out the checks was purchased using a grant courtesy of the R.E.A.L. Foundation Trust.
In total, the Summer Health Checks raised a brilliant £80 for the R.E.A.L Foundation Trust!
Chair of the R.E.A.L. Foundation Trust, Sean Ryan collected the money raised from learner mechanics James Steers and Daniel Hibbard. Tutor Toni Germany who organised the Summer Health Checks and R.E.A.L. Foundation Trust Trustees Caraline Ryan and Jenny Egglestone, also attended the presentation.
